Book trailers and the Common Core

I was just checking out easel.ly again and spent some time perusing the really great infographics for education.

This one made me reevaluate my post from last spring on book trailers. I may not love that they plant images in my head but seeing a little more clearly how they support CCSS and encourage creativity. I may use this infographic assignment with our next novel, Siddhartha; since we are performing “Julius Caesar” now, an activity which supports the same standards, I think they’ll have had enough experience to begin filming work instead of just performing.booktrailersandthecommoncore
